Women aged 15 to 80+ are discovering and sharing tales of the heart – of passion, friendship and belonging. Stories which are reflected in the spaces and places of Aldgate and Brick lane, the local area around the Library. The group are creating a series of evocative podcasts, telling their stories, and short videos which illustrate the tales.

On June 30th and July 1st Where The Heart Is will be presented as part of the LIFT Festival. Audiences will be invited to take a walk, starting from the Library, guided by the podcast and a special map.

Signposted by still and moving images located in significant places, the women’s voices will intrigue and interrogate you, before inviting you to join them for afternoon tea at the Library, your chance to share your tales of the heart.
